Greenland Road during Jubilee of George V, 1935
Alan Morgan went to Exeter University and was in the Royal Navy. Graham Rosser’s father was the manager of Barclay’s Bank. Mrs. Dart (SRN, SCM) now lives in Cardiff, the wife of a retired Baptist minister. The photograph was taken during the jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. The photographer (Davies) had a little studio in a small wooden building near the railway arch. He may have lived in Harcourt Road or Cemetery Road. Mrs. Jones is also SRN, SCM and now lives in Abergavenny. She was born in no. 47 Greenland Road. Betty Luscott lived in the “Railway Houses”, just off Factory Road.
